This palette was the one I confessed that I really wouldn't get much use out of and I simply bought it to try. I must say I am really surprised once again by the quality of the palette and the look I managed to create! I am fully self taught in make-up and I feel that this may be my most adventurous look to date.
I felt initially drawn to the purples and blues in this palette although there is a great range of nudes and blacks to play with too. I really wanted to create a smokey eye that had a little twist of colour and I'm so glad with the results! I had to use the matte brown shade as a transition shade otherwise this look could've come across a hell of a lot crazier! Blending is definitely the key with this palette.
I applied the white matte as a base in this palette as I really wanted the colours to pop and get the best colour I could out of every shade. I then ran the neutral brown and the matte purple through the crease lightly. I decided to lighten the crease by adding the pink shade which gave a great fade through to the brow bone. The shimmer purple was then patted onto the outer and inner corners to create a dramatic look and a shimmer white on the inner lid; which I applied with my finger to get the most colour pay-off. I loved the whole aesthetic of the lid and really wanted to make it even more special by creating a stand-out bottom liner by using the bright blues in the palette! I love this as an alternative going out look and think it would look great with an all black outfit! However there was lots, I mean LOTS, of fallout from the purple shades which I anticipated and created my eye-shadow look before concealing.
